Gaming Adult Aims to Fight Censorship with Art
Adult videogaming company Gaming Adult announced today that its in-house studio, Kinkoid, is launching a Kickstarter fundraising campaign on April 7 to fund the publication of the company’s first hentai art book. The book will feature never-before-seen sketches and new details for the favorite heroines of Hentai Heroes, Gaming Adult’s top-performing game.
In the release announcing the launch of the Kickstarter campaign, Gaming Adult said the upcoming art book is “more than an art book for the company and the players – it’s their way to battle censorship.”
As Gaming Adult CEO Porco Rosso put it in a video promoting the project, “it’s our fight for artistic freedom.”
The rewards for those who back the company’s Kickstarter campaign will include hardcover copies of the book and “a lot of in-game rewards,” Gaming Adult explained in its announcement.
“In a very politically correct world, there is more and more censorship,” Rosso said. “We want to fight for art, fight for nudity, fight for fun. This was our initial idea five years ago when we created Hentai Heroes.”
“All we want to do is bring sexy and positive entertainment,” Rosso added. “We want art to keep rebelling against society’s norms and keep disrupting the standard. We need the help of our loyal players to get the girls offline. We believe they will welcome the girls in their homes and enjoy spreading the pages of the book just like they enjoy playing Hentai Heroes. It’s not just a game – it’s art.”
In the company’s vast portfolio of projects, Gaming Adult does have prior experience with printing manga books, but Rosso said that while the company “loved having a hard copy of our efforts in the form of a book,” they also “realized the way to get to more people is by sharing art in the form of video games.”
Magrat, the Director of Communications for Gaming Adult, said one of the key aspects driving the popularity of Hentai Heroes has been the company’s commitment to keeping the game a sex-positive, fun and inclusive environment.
“We’ve kept the Haremverse free of negativity, violence, and censorship,” Magrat said. “It has always been and will remain free for everyone who needs more lewd girls in their lives. The players love Hentai Heroes’ Haremverse, they know our studio. They know we want to make the world a kinkier and more beautiful place together, one game at a time. And they will support us when we want to do with one art book at a time too.”
Gaming Adult is also about to add a new game, Comix Harem, to its portfolio, giving the site’s 300,000+ active daily players – and 15 million registered users – something new to look forward to on the gaming front, as well.
Hentai Heroes is available in six languages and is enjoyed by players all over the world. The game now features over 700 collectable hentai heroines of the sort that will be featured in the forthcoming art book.
