GameLink Optimizes for Kindle Fire
YNOT – Online store GameLink believes it is the first adult e-tail site fully optimized for delivery on Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet. Amazon noted earlier this week that it has sold more than one million Kindle units weekly since Dec. 1, and that represents a lot of new devices on the market. GameLink scrambled to make its mobile site fully compatible in order to grab some of the traffic from the millions of units likely to be unwrapped on Christmas morning.
GameLink installation is seamless on the Kindle Fire, a company spokesperson said, and the company’s “Mobile Cloud” is included at no extra charge. The cloud services addresses an emerging market for content delivery to multiple personal devices via download, sync and streaming.
“Our mobile platform has seen massive growth and is by far our fastest growing segment with unlimited promise,” said Jeff Dillon, director of online sales for GameLink parent company Private Media. “When the latest Kindle version was announced, we rallied the tech team to make our mobile platform compatible.
“Smartphone and tablet sales are huge during the holiday season, and we wanted to make sure GameLink is available on all of the newest and most sought-after gifts like the Kindle Fire, iPad and iPhone 4S,” he added.
GameLink.com offers more than 15,000 movies formatted for mobile delivery with pay-per-view pricing. The website’s affiliate program pays a 25-percent commission on all sales.
