Gamelink Offers Android App
YNOT – Proving once again that Google’s Android is friendly to the adult industry, GameLink, a subsidiary of Private Media Group Inc., has produced a vibrating adult toy app for Android-powered mobile phones.
The app is available as a free download from Mikandi. Once installed, the software produces an extendable penis on the phone’s screen. By touching the screen, the user can vary the length of the penis and increase the intensity of the phone’s vibration.
The app also offers free previews of adult films and provides a link to GameLink for purchases.
Private Media Group Mobile Manager Jenny Gonzalez said the company is excited by the potential represented by the Android OS, citing recent reports showing the platform is overtaking the market share held by iPhone and Blackberry in the U.S.
“Creating apps for Android is just the kind of action that Private Media Group takes to be able to cater to the needs of the constantly changing mobile adult market, with the Android positioned to become one of the leading handsets for adult consumption on the go,” Gonzalez said.
Director of Online Sales Jeff Dillon echoed Gonzalez’ comments.
“The Android is quickly becoming the preferred smartphone on the market,” he said. “With a more open and rich platform for developers and users, GameLink is aggressively pursuing and monetizing the Android market. Currently we are seeing 15 percent of our smartphone traffic coming from Android users.
“The functional GameLink adult toy app allows users to use their Android to browse the catalogue and use the phone’s vibrating function to become the ultimate incognito sex toy,” he added.
