YNOT – A two-hour special documenting Australia’s annual SEXPO is scheduled to debut Dec. 6 on Comcast Entertainment Group’s G4 cable network. Hosted by adult performer and Girlfriend Experience star Sasha Grey, SEXPO Australia will air with limited commercial interruption and feature some of the exhibition’s most outrageous components, including Carnal Carnival, naked surfing, amateur strip competitions and SEXPO showgirls.SEXPO, known for its no-holds barred party atmosphere, is a four-day consumer-oriented event incorporating all aspects of health, adult entertainment, sexuality and adult lifestyles. During SEXPO Australia, Grey and crew take viewers from the red carpet grand opening celebration to the convention floor to meet adult stars and explore every aspect of what the network calls a “sexually sophisticated and always-shocking event.”

More than 60,000 people attended the 2009 SEXPO, making it the largest exhibition of its kind in the world, according to organizers. With live stage performances, showgirls, lap dance tutorials, amateur striptease contests and all the latest gadgets, SEXPO considers itself much more than a porn convention. Organizers encourage openness about human sexuality and strive to provide an interactive experience where attendees can participate in activities such as pole-dancing and amateur stripper hijinks.

In addition to offering an insider’s eye view of the action, Grey interviewed fellow U.S. and Australian performers — including current Miss Nude Australia Suzie Q — along with industry executives. As part of the broadcast, Grey will answer questions from fans and offer her own thoughts on all things sexual. Via cameras roaming the convention floor, viewers will be able to check out the latest technology and gadgetry available to the sexual aficionado and tour the assortment of booths to find all kinds of surprises.

The special also takes viewers outside the convention walls to explore Australian culture firsthand. From swimming with sharks at Sydney’s Manly Beach to surfing at world-famous Bondi Beach and learning to cook local delicacies like kangaroo, Grey dives head-first into the land down under.

G4 — which describes itself as a network dedicated to providing “the last word on gaming, technology, animation, interactivity and geek culture’” — rarely shies away from adult topics, having presented segments about the Virtual Sex Machine and other adult technologies and events in the past. One of the network’s series, “The International Sexy Ladies Show,” exists to do nothing more than titillate G4’s 18-34-year-old male demographic with softcore porn.
