FSC Welcomes New Members to Board of Directors
CANOGA PARK, Calif. – Three incumbents and two new members were elected to the board of directors for adult industry trade association Free Speech Coalition. Voting members of FSC overlooked the two female candidates — performers Amber Lynn and Chanel Preston — choosing instead to install five men.
Bob Christian, Larry Garland and Christian Mann will return for another two-year term. Christian is director of new business for PHE, parent company of retailer Adam & Eve. Mann is general manager for studio Evil Angel, and Garland serves as chief executive officer for wholesale distributor Eldorado Trading Co.
Mark Schechter and Mo Reese are board newcomers.
“I am honored to be elected to the board of directors of the FSC,” said Schechter, who owns Adult Talent Managers Los Angeles. “I am excited with the opportunity to contribute to the FSC organization and have a positive effect onto the adult industry and the people who are a part of it.”
Reese is a director, producer, editor and photographer who operates his own content-production house, MoXXX Productions.
“I would like to thank FSC members for their support,” he said. “It is an honor to have earned a seat on the board of directors. I look forward to taking a more active role in helping our industry move in a positive, productive direction.”
Eight additional elected board members, two of whom are female executives, will continue to serve unexpired terms: Peter Acworth, Jeffrey Douglas, Alec Helmy, Marci Hirsch, Joel Kaminsky, Mark Kernes, Reed Lee and Lynn Swanson.
“FSC is fortunate to have a group of highly intelligent, energetic and inspirational people to lead our organization,” said Chief Executive Officer Diane Duke. “Looks like 2014 will be a great year.”
FSC acts as the “voice” of the U.S. adult entertainment industry. The organization serves as a watchdog guarding the industry against unconstitutional and oppressive government regulation. It also provides business resources to facilitate success in a challenging environment. In December, members in good standing elected five board members from a slate of nine candidates.
