FSC Warns of Company ‘Fraudulently Claiming Association’
CANOGA PARK, Calif. – In a notice posted Friday, the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) warned that “a nude art photography site has contacted at least one FSC member, claiming to have obtained their contact information ‘through the Free Speech Coalition.’”
“Free Speech Coalition has not and will not share, sell or otherwise publicly post member information,” FSC said in the statement. “We have contacted the company demanding they cease and desist spreading false information using our name or otherwise claiming connection with FSC.”
FSC added that anyone who has received such a solicitation, or receives one in the future, should let the FSC know immediately.
According to a screenshot of the message included in the FSC warning, the subject line of the message received by at least one member of the organization reads “Invitation to Visit Our New Website.”
