FSC to Hold Meeting at Webmaster Access, Nov. 17
UNIVERSAL CITY, CA – The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) announced yesterday plans for a general membership meeting to be held during the Webmaster Access West trade show in Universal City next week.The FSC meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 17, and will begin at 5pm in the Writer/Director Room near the West Ballroom in the Universal Sheraton. The Universal Sheraton is located at 333 Universal Hollywood Drive, Universal City, California.
According to the FSC press release, the meeting will run approximately 90 minutes, and provide an update of recent FSC activities. FSC member Reed Lee will speak about the Extreme Associates appeal, and Board Chair Jeffrey Douglas will address the 2257 legal challenge. The meeting will be chaired by FSC Executive Director Michelle Freridge, and a Q&A session will follow the presentations by Lee and Douglas.
The meeting was originally to be held at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills on the same day, but was moved to the Sheraton in order to accommodate those attending Webmaster Access.
“We moved the membership meeting in response to requests by webmasters,” said Freridge, “and look forward to being in close proximity to Webmaster Access and the adult Internet professionals who will be attending. We hope that everyone will take the opportunity to come to the meeting for a frank and open discussion of the important issues that face the industry.”
