FSC Seeks Nominations for Board of Directors
YNOT – Adult industry trade association Free Speech Coalition has opened nominations for its 2011 board of directors election. Nine of 13 seats expire during this cycle.
Only active FSC members may present nominees. All active members should have received email notification about the upcoming election. A nominating form was sent through survey service Zoomerang, according to Executive Director Diane Duke, so members who did not receive the form may need to check their spam filters. FSC also will post links to the nominating form on its website and Facebook page.
Candidates must be active FSC members, and all nominations must be accompanied by contact information for the candidate.
Nominations will be accepted through Nov. 26, and candidates will be announced during the first week in December. The election will take place by email ballot in mid-December.
“This is a great opportunity for members that would like to become more involved with the FSC to either be nominated or vote in the upcoming election,” FSC Membership Director Joanne Cachapero said. “Especially now, we need the support of all our members to help choose board members that will offer their insight into some of the challenges the industry faces — including mandatory condoms, anti-piracy efforts, dot-xxx domains and [the U.S. federal labeling and recordkeeping law, 18 U.S.C. §]2257.”
