FSC Schedules Open Health and Safety Meeting
YNOT – Adult industry trade association Free Speech Coalition has scheduled an open meeting for industry stakeholders to discuss the formation of a new entity that will take the place of AIM Medical Associates PC. AIM closed its 13-year-old health-testing and -certification operation in early May, citing financial hardship.
The FSC’s proposed new venture, Adult Production Health & Safety Services, will provide testing for sexually transmitted diseases and establish protocols for workplace safety within the adult entertainment industry.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. May 26 at the Sportsmen’s Lodge, 12833 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City, Calif. Performers, producers, agents and other adult industry insiders are invited, along with the media, but the general public will be excluded. RSVPs are requested by email.
“FSC has been in contact with numerous industry professionals and sexual health providers,” said Executive Director Diane Duke. “Together, we are developing a solid program that will fill in the gaps resulting from AIM’s closure. If you’re affected by the production side of the industry this is an essential meeting for you to attend.”
An agenda and other information about the meeting will be announced on the FSC’s blog, Facebook page and Twitter stream.
