FSC Opens Nominations for Board of Directors
YNOT – Adult industry trade association Free Speech Coalition has opened the nominations period for its 2012 board of directors election. Of 13 seats on the board, four must be filled.
Only FSC members may nominate potential board members, who also must be active FSC members. Contact information for the candidate must accompany each nomination.
“This is a great opportunity for members who would like to become more involved with the FSC to either be nominated, or vote in the upcoming election,” FSC Membership Director Joanne Cachapero said. “Especially now, we need the support of all our members to help choose board members that will offer their insight in some of the challenges the industry faces — including mandatory condoms, anti-piracy efforts, performer health and safety, and patent trolls.”
Cachapero said active FSC members should have received an email form containing directions for the nomination and voting process. The online nomination form can be found here. FSC also has posted links to the form on its website, blog and Facebook page.
Nominations will be accepted through Dec. 1; candidates will be announced Dec. 2. The election will take place throughout December by email ballot.
