FSC Offers Performers Half-Price Membership
YNOT – Adult industry trade association Free Speech Coalition is offering all performers a special half-off membership rate if they join the organization by New Year’s Day 2011.
“Right now there’s a lot going on in the industry, and we want to make sure performers have a place to get involved,” FSC Membership Director Joanne Cachapero said.
“FSC wants to be an information hub for all industry members. Information is power,” she added. “Also, it’s important to have a voice on issues that affect the industry. We want performers to feel like they can participate and be part of FSC. They are the backbone of our industry, so this is a good way for FSC to say ‘thanks.’”
An individual professional-level membership in FSC normally is $50 per year. Until Jan. 1, the rate for performers will be $25.
“That’s the price of a few lattes and lunch,” Cachapero said. “It’s a great way to show your support for the industry. The money goes to funding what the FSC does with CalOSHA/workplace safety, anti-piracy efforts and fighting the dot-xxx domain.”
FSC members receive a weekly e-newsletter, free legal referrals, networking and special-event opportunities, access to the members-only area of the FSC website and the members-only Facebook page, as well as discounts on other benefits of membership.
Performers interested in joining may call 818-348-9373 or email Cachapero for more information. Membership applications may be processed over the phone or by mail.
