FSC Issues Update on Production Hold
The Free Speech Coalition has released the following update on the production hold the trade organization called for on Sunday:
“The possibly affected performer has retested today, and we expect to have conclusive results tomorrow. In the meantime, we are working to connect the performer to health services should the test be positive.
We have contacted any first-generation partners who might have had contact with the performer, on-set or off, during or prior to the transmission window, in order to have them re-tested. We have also started building out second-generation contacts, should the results tomorrow prove confirmatory.
FSC-PASS will pay for any needed retests, as well as arrange for transportation to and from the testing center for any performer who needs to be retested.
Please remember that during a production hold, we are working to establish and confirm baseline facts related to any possible exposure, including all contacts on-set and off. All production, including clips, content trades, webcam shows, fetish and condom shoots should observe the production hold.
We understand that a production hold is not only stressful and confusing, but also financially difficult. However, our ultimate responsibility is to the safety of the performer pool and the integrity of the PASS system.
We thank you for respecting and maintain the performer’s privacy during this process.
The Free Speech Coalition periodically calls production holds if there is a possible HIV exposure within the adult film community. Production holds are an important part of the safety protocols in adult film, but does not signal an actual on-set transmission, nor a confirmed positive test. The adult film industry has not seen an on-set transmission of HIV on a PASS-regulated set in over a decade.”
