FSC Election 2008 Bash to Put New Spin on Annual Fundraiser
CANOGA PARK, CA — Adult industry trade organization Free Speech Coalition will kick off “Election 2008 Bash” at 5:30 p.m. October 11th at Universal Studio’s Globe Theatre in Universal City, CA. The event supersedes “Night of the Stars” as the organization’s annual fundraiser celebrating the adult entertainment industry. “Last year, FSC decided to step away from the Night of the Stars event, as a number of award events have been developed to honor our talented entertainment professionals for their incredible work,” said FSC Executive Director Diane Duke. “Our annual bash event is designed to honor the business side of the industry.”
The event will begin with all guests walking down a red carpet, the traditional symbol of VIP status in the entertainment industry.
“All of our guests are VIPs,” Duke said. “Each and every business and professional in our industry has contributed to making the adult entertainment industry what it is today.”
An open-bar reception complete with DR Wu, an 11-piece band, and a three-course meal catered by Wolfgang Puck, are just a few of the treats guests can anticipate. Celebrated DJ, drag queen and gay performer and director Chi Chi LaRue will emcee the evening’s festivities, which will include an awards presentation honoring Woman of the Year Rondee Kamins of Transworld News, Man of the Year Scott Doffman of AEBN, Business of the Year Sureflix Digital Distribution and Legacy Award winner Harry Mohney of Déjà Vu.
Election 2008 Bash is presented by platinum sponsors Hotmovies, Eddie’s Kids and Déjà Vu; gold sponsors AVN and XBIZ, and silver sponsors Sportsheets, Topco and Cal Exotics.
Seating is limited. Tables and individual tickets will be sold on a first come basis.
