FSC Board Election Voting Now Open
The Free Speech Coalition announced the opening of its Board of Directors election Wednesday, with six current board members running for reelection and four potential newcomers seeking seats. One seat on the Board is currently open with no incumbent running. Each member elected will serve a two-year term.
All FSC members in good standing are eligible to cast their vote now through December 7, with voting ending at midnight on the morning of December 8.
The six current Board members seeking reelection are First Amendment attorney Reed Lee (current chair of the Legal Committee), XBIZ founder and publisher Alec Helmy, Chick Media CEO Kelly Holland (the current Board President), Treasure Island Media President Matt Mason (current Board Secretary), AVN publisher Tony Rios and Kink.com CEO Alison Boden (current Board Treasurer).
While the FSC announcement says that four potential newcomers are running for seats, the announcement lists only three: performer and activist Mary Moody, Chief Creative Officer for Adult Time Bree Mills and Wasteland.com founder/CEO Colin Rowntree. Full bios for all the candidates can be viewed here.
In its announcement, FSC said an email with a link and voting instructions was sent to all FSC members on December 1. Any FSC member who did not receive the election link and believes they should have, or who has any other questions about the election process, should contact ian@freespeechcoalition.com.
