FSC Announces Results of Board Election
LAS VEGAS, NV – Friday afternoon at the Free Speech Coalition’s membership meeting in Las Vegas, FSC Executive Director Diane Duke announced the result of board elections for 2007.According to a press issued the same day by the FSC Friday, the following have been elected to serve two-year terms on the FSC Board of Directors:
Jeffrey J. Douglas, Santa Monica, CA – First Amendment attorney and current chair of the FSC Board of Directors reelected to serve another term.
Mara Epstein, Venice, CA – of Xbiz Magazine and MG Media, current member of FSC Board re-elected to another term.
Mark Kernes, Chatsworth, CA – Senior Editor of Adult Video News (AVN) and current member of FSC Board, reelected to serve another term.
Reed Lee, Chicago, IL – Attorney with J. D. Obenberger and Associates, current FSC Board Member reelected to serve another term
Lynn Swanson, Chatsworth, CA – Former general manager of M&M Sales, replaces Nick Boyias on the FSC Board.
Tim Valenti, San Francisco, CA – President and CEO of NakedSword/Cubik Media, current Board Member reelected to serve another term.
In addition, the following members have been elected by the FSC Board to serve in FSC leadership positions:
Board President – Jim Everett, Worthington, Ohio, Chief Operating Officer of Lion’s Den
Board Chair – Jeffrey J. Douglas, retains position as Chair of the FSC Board
Board Secretary – Mark Kernes
Board Treasurer – William Murphy, Winter Park, FL President, Fairvilla Megastores
“The Free Speech Coalition and the members we represent are facing a pivotal time,” said Duke in the FSC release issued Friday. “The FSC Board has assured me that they are willing to make the difficult decisions and do the hard work necessary to ensure that this association achieves long term success. I am eager to face the challenges ahead.”
