Free Speech Coalition Membership Meeting Planned for April 20
CANOGA PARK, CA — Members of the Free Speech Coalition and those interested in the group’s activities who are located in or near Woodland Hills, California can attend a general membership meeting in that city at the Marriott Warner Center on Thursday, April 20.The evening will begin with a networking reception at 5:30pm and will then move to a moderated meeting at 6:00pm, with FSC executive director Michelle Freridge at the lead. Joining her will be board member Jeffrey J. Douglas, who will provide an update on 2257 litigation and an analysis of additional legislation proposed in the Senate.
Additionally, Stephen Rohde, who is a member of the Free Speech Coalition’s Utah litigation team will discuss the status of the FSC Utah Child Protection Registry litigation. Reed Lee, another FSC board member and attorney will address the recent 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling which struck down the pandering aspect of the PROTECT Act. Rounding out the meeting’s speakers will be FSC communications director Tom Hymes, recently returned from his trip to the ICANN meeting in New Zealand.
After all speakers have had an opportunity to address the audience, an open question and answer session will bring things to a conclusion.
On April 24th and 25th members of the adult industry will gather in Sacramento, California as part of the Free Speech Lobbying Days.
