Free Speech Coalition Hosts Red, White & Blue Fundraiser
UNIVERSAL CITY, CA — The Free Speech Coalition announced today that it is holding a fundraising event called the Red, White and Blue Bash on Saturday, October 13th at Universal Studio’s Globe Theater. The event kicks off with a stroll down the red carpet, complete with the industry’s biggest leaders and hottest stars as well as some mainstream celebrities. The night will begin with a cocktail hour and silent auction leading to a sit-down dinner catered by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. Guests will be entertained by as-yet-unbilled comedians. The FSC will also use the event to honor adult entertainment maverick Eddie Wedelstedt and welcome him back to the industry. He is also putting on a fundraising event the night before for his charity, Eddie’s Kids, at Universal City Sheraton Grand, to raise money for sporting event tickets for underprivileged kids.
“This year FSC wanted to throw a party where the main focus is all about fun,” said Diane Duke, FSC Executive Director. “Great food, entertainment, company, and a chance to say welcome back and thank you to longtime FSC supporter and industry leader Eddie W. It will be a night to remember.”
Wedelstedt, owner of adult distribution company Goalie Entertainment, pleaded guilty to a federal obscenity charge in 2005 and forfeited three of his company’s stores in exchange for charges being dropped against his wife and his company. He was sentenced to a 13-month prison term.
Seating is limited and sponsorships, tables and tickets will be sold on a first-come basis. For more information on the event, call 818-348-9373 or go to FreeSpeechCoalition.com. For more on Eddie’s Kids, visit EddiesKids.org.
