Free Speech Coalition Board Election Voting Begins
CANOGA PARK, CA — Regardless of where adult industry professionals live, there are still eight important votes to cast this month for members of the Free Speech Coalition (FSC). 2009 – 2010 Board Election Ballots are currently being sent to active FSC members via both electronic and traditional mail, with the voting period ending on December 17th.
At issue are eight seats on the FSC board of directors, which can be filled with a combination of incumbents and new candidates.
Running for re-election are NakedSword.com founder Tim Valenti, Evotum marketing director Mara Epstein, Topco Sales director Lynn Swanson, AVN legal writer Mark Kernes and attorneys Jeffrey Douglas and Reed Lee.
Tossing their metaphorical candidate hats into the ring for board consideration are UnZipped Media legal compliance manager Adam Lucas, Channel One Releasing co-founder Rob Novinger, Cybersocket co-founder Morgan Sommer, XBIZ president Alec Helmy, Home Pleasure Parties Plan Association CEO Tamara Bell and Titan Media in-house legal counsel, GilL Sperlein.
“After watching how successful voters were in affecting great change by turning out at the polls during the presidential elections, I hope that enthusiasm will carry over to the FSC members and they will be pro-active and get out the vote,” Diane Duke, executive director of the FSC urges.
Those interested in reading the bios and statements provided by the six new candidates and six incumbents may visit FreeSpeechCoalition.com for a closer look at the hopefuls. Those elected will serve a two year position running from January 2009 until January of 2011.
Election results will be announced on January 2nd.
