Florida’s Pride Factory Celebrates Ten Festive Business Years
SOUTH FLORIDA –Pride Factory, a popular gay and lesbian shopping mecca located in South Florida, has something new to be proud of: ten years in business celebrating all things GLBT. Visitors to the shop during the month of February will receive a 10-precent discount on all purchases totaling $10 or more. The 6,000 square foot specialty shop and coffeehouse now offers wireless internet access, which is only one sign of the growth it’s experienced since its humble storefront beginnings. After relocating in 2000, it nearly quadrupled its architectural footprint in order to carry an even more impressive collection of world-class rainbow gear, garments, music, mainstream and adult videos, lubricants, toys, and erotic literature.
Pride Factory regional manager Rocky Bowell has been with the company for seven years and seen it grow and change along the way. “Pride Factory has come such a long way since the doors opened so many years ago,” he observed while reflecting upon the company’s past.
During its decade of service to the GLBT community, Pride Factory has participated in a number of fundraisers, including Win’s Golf Tournament, The Women’s White Party, Winter Party, Pridefest, and the Stonewall Street Festival.
Bowell is excited about the future. “I can hardly wait to see what the future holds for Pride Factory.”
A PrideFactory web presence is anticipated for mid to late spring.
