YNOT – Miami-based FlavaMen Magazine has opened the nomination period for its third-annual Blatio Awards. The awards recognize gay ethnic clubs, adult performers and websites in a variety of categories and are presented by FlavaMen’s parent company, gay adult studio Flava Works

“Three times is always a charm, and the third annual FlavaMen Blatino Awards are going to be bigger and better than ever,” said organizer Dwight Allen O’Neal. “We are adding more categories, hosting at a larger venue and bringing another celebrity host to really upgrade the event and make it bigger and better.”

Some of the new categories include Best Black Club – Midwest, Best Black Club – East Coast, Best Black Club – West Coast, Best Black Club – South, Best Club DJ, Best YouTube Channel and Best Gay Artist. This year’s hosts and presenters will be announced in late August, O’Neal said.

Nominations close July 10. The online nominations interface is here. Public voting begins July 11 and continues through Aug. 7.

The awards ceremony is expected to take place Sept. 2 in Atlanta during Gay Black Pride.
