Fishbein, Roberts Launch Adult TV Network
YNOT – AVN founder Paul Fishbein and former AVN Media Network Chief Executive Officer Darren Roberts have launched a network that aims to provide consumer-oriented news, entertainment, documentaries and talk shows about the adult industry to cable, web and broadcast outlets.
At launch, X3Sixty already had deals in place to offer high-definition infotainment programming on-demand to more than eight million households in the U.S. and Central Europe, the principals indicated.
“The way people enjoy their entertainment has changed,” Fishbein said. “X3Sixty brings unique programming about the adult industry and its personalities to viewers in a format that is familiar to this generation and accessible to everyone.”
The X3Sixty Network’s flagship show is Inside Adult. The network also offers a documentary series titled The Making Of… and the talk show Seven Minutes in Heaven with Lexi Belle and the profile series Up Close. Short segments about sexual enhancement and pleasure products round out the lineup in a series called Outside the Box, hosted by sex educator Sunny Megatron.
All of the programs are intended to carry a TVMA rating and are designed to enhance the viewer’s knowledge of the adult entertainment industry without competing with the explicit content already offered to consumers, according to a launch statement.
Inside Adult, a 30-minute monthly news and entertainment video magazine hosted by adult performer Chanel Preston, takes its viewers backstage into the world of the adult entertainment. The program features interviews, behind-the-scenes coverage, awards shows, red-carpet premiers, news and industry gossip.
“People have called [Inside Adult] the adult version of Entertainment Tonight,” Roberts said. “No one has ever commercially presented this side of the industry before, and we believe X3Sixty will make an enormous impact.”
X3Sixty programs may be viewed for free on the network’s official website, X3Sixty.com; however, in order to allow broadcasters first crack at new material, some online programming may be delayed.
“We have committed fully to our broadcast partners with respect to the programming exclusivity period, so you may experience a delay on current programs’ availability,” Fishbein advised.
More than 50 exclusive programs populated the website at launch, and Fishbein indicated new content will be added weekly.
X3Sixty is a registered trademark of Woodland Hills, Calif.-based Plausible Films LLC. The company produces and licenses both short- and long-form programming for distribution via cable television systems and the internet.
