Finalists Announced for 2019 YNOT Cam Awards
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — YNOT Events announced today that the finalists for the 2019 YNOT Cam Awards have been chosen. A total of 125 finalists in 25 different categories have been selected, following a nomination process that began on May 20.
“The level of participation we got this year in the nomination process was humbling, staggering and encouraging all at once,” said YNOT CEO and co-owner Connor Young. “We can’t thank everyone enough who participated in this process, starting of course with our industry’s amazing model community, and also including our business executives and fans who kept the flow of suggestions coming in for weeks. Even with the additional 5 categories this year it was still extremely difficult to get down to just five finalists for each award.”
Young said YNOT received thousands of suggestions over the four-week nomination period, driven by a high level of engagement on the part of the eligible performers.
“We saw models doing all kinds of creative things on social media, profile pages and elsewhere to rally their fans,” Young said. “Some even made videos or animated graphics walking fans through the nomination process. To every single one of you who participated, please know you have our sincere thanks for taking part. Whether you’re a finalist or not, we hope that we’ll see you in Hollywood August 5th through 7th for the #Cammunity model summit and then of course to help us celebrate the winners at the YNOT Cam Awards on August 7th.”
YNOT President and co-owner Jay Kopita said the high volume of suggested nominees made for a challenging time selecting finalists.
“We pored over an insane number of potential nominees from every corner of the cam and clips industries this past weekend, taking a lot of criteria into account,” Kopita said. “I’m pleased to say we had over five times the number of submissions compared to last year. It kept us up late, but it’s a great problem to have. It’s unfortunate that several great contenders aren’t able to be finalists this year, but it shows that it really is a serious accomplishment just to be nominated, which is how this event was envisioned from the start.”
With the announcement of the finalists comes the start of voting period. Fans, models and industry executives looking to cast their votes for their favorite models will need to register for a ynotid.com account if they don’t already have one, then login to access the voting page. Voters can return once per day during the voting period to register their votes, but cannot vote more than once per day.
The full list of finalists has been posted to the YNOT Cam Awards website. Those who have been announced as finalists should keep an eye on their email box for instructions on next steps, which will be coming sometime this week.
YNOT extends a huge thank you to its sponsors. The top sponsors this year are returning Platinum sponsors ImLive, Chaturbate, Studio20 and Flirt4Free. New this year is StripChat, sponsors of the free live broadcast. Gold sponsors include iWantClips.com, Cams.com, Freewebcams.com and ACM Studio. The after-party in Hollywood is sponsored by SEGPAY.
The YNOT Cam Awards will take place on August 7 at Avalon Hollywood, the famous Hollywood venue once known as “The Hollywood Palace” and seen recently in the Elton John biopic Rocket Man. This year, YNOT is also hosting a three-day cam model summit called #Cammunity, which will take place at the W Hollywood Hotel, about a block away from Avalon Hollywood. As #Cammunity wraps up, the Red Carpet at YNOT Cam Awards will get started on Vine Street. Comedian Brad Williams will perform at the event and the award show itself will be hosted by industry superstar Anna Bell Peaks.
