Fetish-Inspired Lifestyle Magazine ‘Von Gutenberg’ Launches
YNOT – A glossy new magazine that explores fashion, fantasy and alternative lifestyles has launched. Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Von Gutenberg is the brainchild of fetish ball promoter Erik Von Gutenberg, who said the debut issue is rife with his philosophy and sensibilities.“When people think about fashion, fantasy and lifestyle, I hope the name Von Gutenberg will be the first thing that comes to mind,” said Von Gutenberg, who not only serves as publisher but also contributes content. “We have strived for this magazine to be very different and extremely memorable.”
Von Gutenberg’s premier issue hit the streets Friday. The publisher described the magazine as “high-end and very edgy.” The first issue incorporates in-depth articles and evocative pictorials of Ava Garter, Anastasia Pierce and Penthouse Pet of the Year Heather Vandeven, who graces the issue’s cover.
In addition, photographer Justice Howard brings classic fairytales to life in a four-page romp. Fantasy events around the country receive full coverage, and columns by sexologist Midori and Nurse Laurel of MedicalToys.com inform and entertain.
“I’m excited about the first issue and hope it will be well received, but I’m even more excited about the future issues that will have some well-known cover models from the music industry along with other alternative and creative names who are famous in every corner of the globe,” Von Gutenberg said. “I would tell you who, but then it wouldn’t be a surprise.”
Advertisers in the first issue include Antiseptic, alternative brand Emile Jerard and Japanese latex designer Atsuko Kudo.
Von Gutenberg retails for $19 per quarterly issue and can be found at Amazon.com and in newsstands and Barnes & Noble bookstores nationwide. The publication also is available in Europe.
“I am very excited about Von Gutenberg magazine and my partnership with Erik,” said Mike Werner, owner of exclusive distributor RCS Distribution. “There are a lot of magazines out there, but nothing quite like this. I have a feeling the premiere issue is going to sell extraordinarily well; we already have thousands of potential retailers interested in carrying Von Gutenberg.”
