Feminist Porn VOD Channel Picks Up Aussie Titles
SAN FRANCISCO – Pink & White Productions has added brand-new Australian porn company Lightsouthern to its feminist video-on-demand hub PinkLabel.tv. Directed and produced by Aussie filmmaker Michelle Flynn, Lightsouthern marks its premiere with four short solo masturbation scenes from the Australian Bush Adventures series.
Like Pink & White, which calls its productions “fair-trade” adult content, Lightsouthern aims to maintain high ethical standards in the production of feminist materials. The company’s still and video products feature fresh, natural performers and Australian settings.
“Ethical production, for me, is about health and safety standards, respect and care for models, professionalism and allowing all people involved in production to make informed choices,” Flynn said. “We want models to feel safe, creative, valued, happy, comfortable and exhilarated. We want them to have an enjoyable experience and be part of something special which they can be proud of.
“In the Australian Bush Adventures series, I wanted to make something authentically Australian, promoting a down-to-earth, natural, outdoor-loving feel through a woman’s eyes,” she added.
Flynn’s philosophy appears to be working: Lightsouthern recently received the EROS Shine Award for Best Adult Production Company.
“I’m pumped to have my work on PinkLabel.tv,” Flynn said. “It’s great to see your work reach wider audiences, and PinkLabel’s is an audience I personally can identify with — which isn’t imperative and not my objective as a pornographer, but it does feel nice.”
PinkLabel.tv pays a 30-percent revenue share through its independent affiliate program.
