TORONTO, CANADA — ’Tis the season to begin giving serious consideration to the women who have had an impact in the world of adult entertainment. The Feminist Porn Awards nominations opened December 1st and will remain open until February 24th, 2009.The 2009 awards will represent the fourth year in a row Good For Her has presented the honor to trendsetting women on both sides of the camera who got the extra mile to appeal to women, couples and marginalized communities. The two-night celebration of all things distaff will occur in late April in Toronto and will include screenings of selected films during a presentation called Feisty Feminist Porn on the Big Screen.

In order to be considered for a Feminist Porn Award, a movie must meet at least one of the following criteria:

1) A woman had a hand in the production, writing, directing or otherwise completing the work.
2) The work depicts genuine female pleasure.
3) The work attempts to expand the boundaries of sexual representation on film and challenges stereotypes.

Nominations must be accompanied by three screener copies of the work. All entries should be mailed to FPA Nominations, c/o Good For Her, 175 Harbord Street, Toronto ON M5S1H3, Canada.

Nominations also may include information about stand-out scenes, biographical information about filmmakers and/or performers and any other noteworthy achievements or information relevant to the awards.
