FanCentro to Launch “Centro University” for Adult Performers
Adult social media platform FanCentro has announced the upcoming launch of Centro University, which the company describes as an “educational course specifically for porn stars, adult influencers, and other sex workers.”
In its announcement, FanCentro said the online courses, which are being made available for free to all adult performers, will cover topics that include “home film production, branding and marketing, health and safety, consent, and accounting.”
“The adult industry requires specialized skills just like any other business,” said Kat Revenga, Vice President of FanCentro. “With the shift to premiums, adult influencers increasingly need to know how to run a business, set up shoots, manage distribution and protect their brand. CentroU brings together some of the leaders in premiums to help both established producers and newcomers grow their business.”
According to the announcement, many of Centro University’s classed will be available on demand, enabling performers to “take them at their own pace.”
Fan Centro added that “special online webinars, mentorship programs and supplemental resources will also be available,” and that once travel and gathering restrictions imposed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic have been lifted, FanCentro will “begin holding limited enrollment in-person weekend intensives for those enrolled at CentroU.”
“The more support we can give to performers, the more our industry will thrive,” Revenga said. “Our industry is changing rapidly, and we believe that by providing adult performers a free education and career support, we’re investing in the future of our community.”
In its announcement, Fan Centro said Centro University’s classes will “go online in early September,” but “some classes will be available earlier to those who pre-register.”
