Exxxtacy Moves to Vegas in April
YNOT – Because of what promoters called “significant opposition from the City of Phoenix about the show’s content,” Taboo Productions Inc. has moved its Spring 2011 consumer-oriented adult-entertainment show from Phoenix to Las Vegas. Exxxtacy now is scheduled to take place April 15-17 at the Riviera Hotel and Casino.
“We continued to hope for a positive outcome from our discussions with the City of Phoenix, but as time marched on it looked less and less like we were going to be able to overcome the roadblocks,” said Taboo President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Wittenberg. “When we received the call about the story being leaked to the news agencies from our competitors, we were still in continuing discussions, not only with the planned venue but also developing a larger and more exciting opportunity in Las Vegas — none of which was at a point to be disclosed.”
In fact, the details still can’t be announced, Wittenberg said, but he expects “a few new surprise attractions” to augment the traditional “Exxxtacys Playground” and “Exxxtacy Stage Show components.”
“We plan on adding the Exxxtacy flair to Las Vegas and look forward to many years of successful events in the city where anything can and will happen,” he said.
A spokesman for the newly remodeled Riviera’s 60,000 foot facility indicated the hotel hopes Exxxtacy Las Vegas will become an annual tradition at the property.
“We are ecstatic to be the host property of Exxxtacy 2011 Las Vegas and look forward to many years as the host property for this event,” National Sales Manager Bill Tobin said.
