LOS ANGELES – Despite a global economy that remains lackluster for most of the adult entertainment industry, some “old school” studios have found a godsend in the online realm … no matter how reluctant they were to embrace the internet in the beginning. Nearly 20 years after the World Wide Web came to the public’s attention in a big way, most traditional studios maintain at least a modest promotional presence on the information superhighway, but many still aren’t eager to make their films available in the digital space until after the product has run its course in the DVD realm.

About a year ago, John Stagliano’s Evil Angel — one of the larger “old school” studios — broke ranks with the “DVD first” crowd. After partnering with affiliate program FameDollars, Evil Angel tested the digital-first waters by releasing one or two films to the internet hordes ahead of the related DVD’s availability in stores.

Today, Evil Angel releases almost every title online at least 10 days before the DVD hits brick-and-mortar shelves. They call the early digital releases “world premieres.”

“We started doing these world premieres last year and the hardcore fans loved getting [new releases] on EvilAngel.com before anywhere else,” FameDollars marketing representative Jesse Garza told YNOT.com. “Members see it as a unique members’ benefit, and it has helped with retention.”

The latest two titles to be released online first are Mike Adriano’s Anal Appetite #2 and Joey Silvera’s Babysit My Ass #4. Both offer members of EvilAngel.com a 10-day head start on viewing before the DVD debuts.

Anal Appetite #2 showcases Adriano’s ravenous rectal appetite with a cast including Luna C. Kitsuen, Penny Pax, Jenna Ivory and Kimberly Kendall. A special threesome with blonde babe Jenna Ivory and fiery redhead Sophia Fiore add extra spice. The movie runs longer than three hours and was shot in Adriano’s signature POV style.

Babysit My Ass #4 runs four hours. The cast of “seven wayward wenches” includes MILFs Veronica Avluv and India Summer in addition to the fresh faces of Cameron Canada, Holly Michaels, Laela Price and Adriana Chechik.

Also included is a bonus foot job scene featuring Charli Piper and the director himself. In addition, fans get a special look at more than 45 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage.

Webmasters can benefit from Evil Angel’s world premieres success by affiliating with FameDollars, a division of Gamma Entertainment. The program pays $35 per sign-up or up to 50-percent recurring revenue share.
