Evil Angel Announces ‘Cam Girls: The Movie’
LOS ANGELES, CA — Coming soon: Evil Angel’s next “docu-porn” hybrid of hardcore scenes and reality-style documentary. Coming tonight: a sneak preview. The studio’s Evil Angel Films imprint will release “Cam Girls: The Movie” in August, and a special preview screening goes down tonight at XBIZ Miami. The ambitious, new project follows major cam stars Ginger Banks and Jenny Blighe from their hometowns to L.A. and features their virgin pro porn experiences.
Evil Angel Films director Evil Chris pioneered the concept of documentary-style adult films in 2017 with the commercial and critical hit “I Am Katrina.” Chris Gentile, Evil Angel’s Vice President of Product (and the alter-ego of Evil Chris) says, “‘I Am Katrina’ was an experiment to see if adult consumers would enjoy porn delivered in a documentary format. The goal was to give the viewer everything they’d get from a four-scene Evil Angel hardcore movie, but with serious time committed to telling real stories about who a performer is and what it’s like working in this business.
“‘Cam Girls: The Movie’ documents Jenny and Ginger shooting their first professional porn scenes. We learn about their backgrounds and how they got into camming. We don’t just do an interview — we go to their hometowns, even meeting one of the girls’ family members. We tell the story of their experiences once they fly to Los Angeles. And we document everything that happens on set. The girls interact with established stars Angela White, Kayden Kross, Jessy Jones and Manuel Ferrara, and with scene directors John Stagliano, Jonni Darkko and Aiden Starr.”
The preview screening, open to XBIZ Miami attendees, will be at 8:00 p.m. tonight, poolside at the Mondrian Hotel.
Comments Evil Angel CFO Adam Grayson, “With the growth of the cam universe, it seemed like a natural fit to pair Chris’ unique perspective with two big talents like Jenny and Ginger.”
According to Gentile, “Ginger is from Arizona and Jenny’s from Arkansas. They produce their own cam shows, and they direct and shoot videos that they sell to their fans. Ginger has told us she will now be shooting regularly for all adult studios, but for Jenny this will be the one and only time she produces content for anyone other than herself.”
Ginger Banks: “Evil Angel reached out to me about working on the project, and it honestly seemed like a gift because it was exactly the type of project I was looking for. I really wanted people to see that getting into mainstream professional porn was something I was choosing to do, and the documentary was perfect for that.”
Jenny Blighe says, “I had seen all the promo for ‘I Am Katrina,’ and I caught myself thinking if they asked me to do a documentary-style porn movie, I would say, ‘yes.’” But she wasn’t sure. “I had already built my brand as an amateur content creator, and I wasn’t really looking to make that transition to full on professional porn star. However, I wanted first-hand experience at how things are done on a professional set, so I agreed.
“Day One consisted of three-to-four hours of questioning on topics I hadn’t thought about in years … how I lost my virginity, how I was in high school versus now. We even went to the high school I attended and the house I lived in when I first started camming. We took trips through my home state of Arkansas and met up at my studio so they could film during my live cam show. I honestly cannot wait to see the finished product.”
Jenny, Ginger and everyone will have to wait till August to see the movie. But today in Miami, fans can see the exciting direction these cam girls — and porn itself — may be heading.
