Erotic Heritage Museum Announces Return of ‘Art of Naked Yoga’
The Erotic Heritage Museum is pleased to announce the return of its popular weekly class, “The Art of Naked Yoga.” The class, led by instructor Miss Monika, allows yogis a place to practice in a peaceful, clothing-optional setting, in a private area located inside the EHM.
An E-RYT 200 / RYT 500 and a YACEP with Yoga Alliance, Miss Monika has over 800 hours of formal yoga instructor training, and over 1000 teaching hours under her belt from her time in Vancouver, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s in Integrative Sciences: an approach which combines the understanding of different scientific disciplines, with an emphasis on human physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, biochemistry, and evolutionary biology.
“The EHM is a body positive space that has offered ‘The Art of Naked Yoga’ to guests for several years,” says EHM Executive Director Dr. Victoria Hartmann. “Being comfortable in your own skin is paramount to a happy life. We are excited to have Miss Monika take the helm of this class; she brings a wealth of experience.”
With focuses on vinyasa flow, hatha, ashtanga, yin, and restorative yoga, Miss Monika tailors her classes to the needs and abilities of each student and class. She is also certified in First Aid / CPR, trauma recovery yoga, and mat pilates.
“Through yoga postures and movement, I invite students to explore their bodies and minds with curiosity and joy,” says Miss Monika. “By balancing strength with flexibility, and paying attention to their sensations, I guide students into an inner sanctuary of calm and clarity.”
“Art of Naked Yoga” at the Erotic Heritage Museum takes place every Thursday evening at 7pm. Class fees for man-identified persons are $20; woman-identified persons are $10. Students are encouraged to bring their own mats and towels, though a limited number of mats (no towels) are available for rental. As with all events at the EHM, classes are only available for those 18 years of age and older. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/YogaNoClothes/.
