Epoch Debuts New Payment Form Tailored for Mobile Users
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – To serve a rapidly growing mobile marketplace, Epoch has released a new version of its payment form tailored specifically for users of tablets and smartphones.
“Epoch has monitored the growth of mobile purchases, and the data speaks for itself,” a post on the company’s blog noted. “More and more people are getting to [merchants] via a mobile device, and this represents a significant and growing percentage of sales. This trend is expected to continue. With the introduction of our latest payment form, we believe we can help this trend translate to an even greater boost in mobile sales.”
The company soft-launched version three of its payment form a few weeks ago. V3 does not replace previous payment forms; instead, it is an option available to any client who wishes to use it.
Although V3 offers all the benefits of Epoch’s more conventional Smart Payment forms, two features set the new version apart. First, V3’s fresh design and clean interface specifically designed for small screens give the form an updated, more modern look. Second, V3 employs bootstrap technology, allowing it to scale to fit tablet and smartphone browsers as well as desktop browsers via responsive cascading style sheets.
“V3 looks great and even adapts to portrait or landscape orientation automatically,” the blog post noted. “It works just as well on a desktop or laptop and is really the best solution we’ve found for mobile devices. It simply makes the mobile purchase experience very easy.”
Implementing the new form requires only adding a little more information to the merchant’s linking code. The changes may be accomplished via the company’s online client interface.
