Encryption Promises New Security for Sexting
IRVINE, Calif. – A new app for iOS devices promises to allow users to capture their personal moments on video and then safely share the clips with selected friends and family.
According to the developers at Aclipsa Mobile Video Solutions LLC, the free version of ZipaClip employs proprietary technology to encrypt text messages and videos up to 30 seconds in length. The app also allows users to “ZipBack” a video or text at any time, so that it can no longer be viewed or read by any of the recipients. The app’s encryption process makes video viewable only “app-to-app,” no via web browsers.
A premium version of the product allows users to encrypt longer videos and store everything in ZipaClip’s cloud.
“ZipaClip users have peace of mind knowing they can safely share and manage their videos and texts,” said Aclipsa Chief Executive Officer Jeff Reichard. “Our users don’t have to worry about their content being saved to a device, seen by any unwanted eyes, going viral or being shared on social-networking sites.
“ZipaClip is built on the belief that not all of life’s special moments should be shared through social media,” he added.
The app is available on ZipaClip.com and in the iTunes App Store.
