eMerchantPay’s CEO Resigns
YNOT – Craig Drury has resigned as chief executive officer of Cyprus-based online biller eMerchantPay, the company announced Wednesday. Neither party elaborated on the resignation, but both indicated the separation was amicable. Drury said he intends to remain in the billing industry as a consultant.Named deputy CEO in January 2008, Drury ascended to the CEO role in 2009. Since then, according to eMerchantPay founder and Chairman Jonas Reynisson, Drury has shaped “a thoroughly rounded and reputable billing company — one that is emulated by many in this sector.” Aligning eMerchantPay with Playboy to co-host Webmaster Access Amsterdam represents only one of Drury’s achievements, Reynisson said.
“Craig joined us when we were relatively new to the online payment space,” Reynisson noted. “His work with us was invaluable in achieving our current success. Craig has been instrumental in eMerchantPay securing its current position as a major player in the online billing world.
“During his time with us Craig laid the foundation on which our brand has been built, a brand which is now well recognized and respected in the world of online payments,” he added. “Craig certainly helped drive us to where we are today. I would like to use this opportunity to thank Craig for his dedication and hard work and wish him continuous future success.”
Drury said he leaves behind an excellent team at the company, so he’s certain the corporate culture will remain intact.
“I am more than happy that I led the company to many successes, and this can be continually built upon by the team at eMerchantPay,” he said. “All aspects of the business including sales, marketing, support and management are now performing far beyond the expectations of the shareholders. We built a terrific team of hardworking professionals and had amazing success in surpassing our goals. I enjoyed my time with eMerchantPay I will miss the team greatly.
“My intention is to remain in the field of billing, and I look forward to working as a consultant to new and old acquaintances alike,” Drury added. “I welcome the opportunity to work with other companies in the adult industry, but I must say I am looking forward to running my own company again.”
