YNOT – Content-management system Elevated X has added an automated update feature that delivers hands-free bug fixes, security upgrades and performance improvements to client installations.

According to company founder AJ Hall, the new functionality also makes it easy for clients to incorporate new plug-ins and add-ons as soon as they are released.

“The impact of this for our customers is huge, especially with security being so important and the number of hacking incidents on the rise,” Hall said. “From now on, anyone using the latest version of our CMS can take advantage of improvements without requesting an update to their software. Pay-site owners can schedule software updates to happen only at a specific time of the day, based on business hours or site traffic.”

Hall said the multi-channel update system will make updates available each month, with a special Security channel that provides updates anytime a security issue has been discovered within the software. All updates are cryptographically secure, he added.

Existing Elevated X CMS customers may add the new functionality to their installations by submitting a support ticket for free setup. New installations of the software will incorporate the auto-update feature from the beginning.
