Elevated X Debuts Site-Mobilization Tool
YNOT – Software developer Elevated X has launched a new product the company said provides a fast, easy way for users of its content-management system to optimize their sites for mobile distribution. With one click of a button, a new Elevated X CMS plug-in automates the formatting, publishing and promoting process, resulting in a fully featured mobile experience for users without hours of effort from a site’s administrator.Start by uploading VOB, AVI, MOV, WMV, MPG, MP4 or FLV files and the Elevated X CMS will convert full-length movies to mobile-compatible formats. At the administrator’s option, the CMS automatically will watermark content, cut videos into clips and crop photo thumbnails and capture video stills for galleries.
Just check a few boxes and the CMS will batch-encode videos into MP4 and 3GP. In addition the CMS creates videos in large and small sizes ready to go on the appropriate device.
The same single click automatically publishes updates to mobile tours and members areas.
The mobilization tool offers other options, as well. Admins may give pay-site members mobile access free or for an additional charge. Users can click a link to toggle between viewing standard and mobile versions of a site. The included mobile-device-detection HTML page automatically redirects mobile traffic to the content version best suited to the device.
“It’s exciting to see more and more of our users take advantage of the mobile market,” said Elevated X co-owner and Chief Executive Officer AJ Hall. “We’ve been adding new features and streamlining the software to make it as quick and easy as possible for our users to offer mobile versions. The result is a solution that requires zero work on the part of a site owner or webmaster to offer truly mobile sites.”
Details about the CMS and the plug-in are available at 1ClickToMobile.com. Addition of the plug-in to existing installations or new purchases requires no set-up fee. A $50 monthly charge licenses the plug-in for use with an unlimited number of websites.
