LAS VEGAS – A new website offers international users a venue for buying and selling adult materials. Although the developers say the project wasn’t designed to compete with eBay, the site operates in much the same way.

Launched in early August, PornAuction.net “brings the excitement and profitability of internet auctions to the global erotic marketplace,” according to a statement from the company. Backers possess experience in the adult entertainment industry, website design and online auction operation.

“We’re not competing with the eBay adult auctions,” said Chief Executive Officer Michael J. Powers. “They’re strictly limited to the United States, and individual sellers often get buried under the massive amounts of junk listings. We’re reaching a targeted, international adult consumer.”

Sellers at PornAuction.net offer a broad range of adult merchandise including new and vintage erotica, lingerie, adult toys and fetish items.

“We’re looking forward to building lasting, mutually profitable relationships with adult vendors and at the same time offering a one-stop, discrete shopping experience for the customer,” Powers said.
