CHANDLER, Ariz. – Amateur MILF performer Dawn Marie bills herself as “the naked housewife next door.” The eager redhead has sixteen years of online experience under her garters and clearly loves having all kinds of sex.

YNOT.com: How did you get into amateur porn?

Dawn Marie: My husband used to travel a lot back in the mid 1990s. He would surf the newsgroups back in the day and check out sites while travelling.

One day he said to me, “this one site has a chat room. I really wish you would go into the room with me.” So one night I did, and I was amazed at how ‘real’ it felt, actually talking to real people and having conversations with both men and women.

[My husband] Rob asked if he could take some PG-13 pics of me to share in the room. So we took about six to eight pics. The feedback I received is what hooked me, and from there I started my site.

Was your first shoot difficult?

It wasn’t difficult, as it was just me and Rob was the one taking the pictures.

We shot pics for about a year before I did my first set with another man, and that was scary. I still get very nervous when shooting with someone else, even if I have shot with them before.

What kind of content do you offer today?

My content includes solo pics and video of myself modeling, using toys, outside pics and hot interracial. There are pictures and video of me with other women and men in one-on-one sex to threesomes and even a foursome.

I also offer a weekly members cam session, and my members also have access to cams of the other girls on the cam site. As a member of my site, you get full access to about 20 other sites in our network. Members also are able to communicate with me via my blog, site comments, email and Twitter.

How do you find and keep your subscribers?

Well, it obviously is not as easily done as it was when I started. Everyone had sites they would build to promote you, but those are not around so much anymore.

For the most part, I use Twitter and affiliate-type sites to promote.

How has the amateur market changed in the past 12 years?

There is so much free stuff out there — that is the biggest thing that has changed. Some people post more explicit stuff on Twitter than I post on the free side of my site, thus making it harder to get someone to sign up. For this reason I believe it is personality that sells your site, and I have been very blessed to have a great member base.

How do you keep yourself fresh and motivated?

You know, sometimes you do get out of sync. You just lose motivation or it gets hard to come up with new ideas.

For me, this is when I turn to my members and followers and ask for help. I love the input I get, good or bad, from them. A lot of times they have great ideas, and they have always given me such positive feedback. After all, without them I would not be here.

You have gotten into live camming. How is that working out?

I do a weekly cam show on the VNA Live network, and then I do one-on-one cam at Streamate.

I am not a cam girl doing hours of cam each week. That is just not my personality. But I enjoy the time I’m there, and it is always so much fun when someone who knows who I am finds me and says, “I have followed you for years and can’t believe I am actually talking to you live.” That always makes me feel good.

What are your future plans?

That is a good question. I am very happy in the adult world that I have built, and I really have no interest in going what I would call “mainstream.”

We have just made a huge investment in a new [high-definition] videocamera, so I am just looking at improving the quality of pics and video on my site. Focus my time and energy on my site and give my members what they deserve.
