Drawn Together: Twinks in Toons
YNOT – While Stunner Media’s latest gay adult offering doesn’t exactly take the company in bold new directions, it does situate the company at a crossroads enjoying considerable popularity with consumers: fantasy-art and porn.
As its name suggests, TwinkyToons.com offers sexually explicit cartoons of young men enjoying other men. The content ranges from realistic scenarios to parodies of myth and legend, like “The Legend of Robin Wood.”
Everything comes from the filthy mind and smutty pen of UK-based artist Simon Alexander.
“The work I’m doing for TwinkyToons.com is a mixture of comic book stories, pinups, wallpapers and other erotic images of hot twinks,” Alexander said. “I wanted to create a mixture of elements so there’s always something different and interesting to see.”
Mixing it up would seem to be a necessity for sites that update daily, as TwinkyToons does. The updates take a variety of forms, including wallpapers and pin-ups as well as single-panel sketches and comic series. The first of the latter, “Bang Hard Ben,” follows a fictional porn star on the rise. Twelve installments in the series already exist, and more are in the works. Some will feature cameos by real-life gay performers like Kyler Moss and Conner Bradley.
“Ben Lovebone is just getting started in the industry, and the comic will follow his adventures in porn, along with his personal life and friends and all the hot sex in between,” Alexander said.
Stunner Media has been entrenched in the twink niche since the company bowed in 2004. Its Gaylife Network brings eight twink sites together under one membership. TwinkyToons brings the total number of sites in the network to nine. Content Production Manager Erynn Vaehne said the company is eager to see how far it can take the material.
“This is a completely new medium for Stunner, and we’re really excited to see what we can create with Simon,” Vaehne said. “Cartoon boys don’t say no.”
Affiliates may promote the new site through the Stand Ahead webmaster program, which pays $35 per sale or 60-percent recurring revenue share.
