Dominic Ford Optimizes for Google TV
YNOT – Dominic Ford Features, a studio specializing in 3D gay adult content, has launched a version of its eponymous website optimized for viewing on the new Google TV platform.According to producer-director Ford, Google TV watchers will be able to experience a “completely new” view of DominicFord.com. The Google TV version features a full-screen movie player that allows access to all the content via a tray that slides out from the bottom of the screen. Users may seek within each movie using thumbnails that slide out from the left side of the screen. Members can log in, and new members can sign up, right from their Google TVs. Everyone is able to watch unlimited previews.
All content is available in both high-definition 2D and 3D.
“Google TV is poised to become a major platform contender,” Ford said. “It combines the web with cable [television] in a way not seen before. Most of our members play our movies on their big-screen TVs. Google TV makes this easy, and our new site caters to our members who prefer to watch our 2D and 3D content from the comfort of their big-screen TVs, not just on their computers.”
The Google TV move is not the first time the studio has jumped on an emerging technology ahead of the pack. When the website debuted two years ago, right away it began offering content in 3D and full HD resolution (1920×1080), becoming the first all-male adult company to do so. DominicFord.com displayed equal alacrity when Apple’s iPad hit the market, launching an iPad-optimized site the same day the device bowed.
The company’s affiliate program pays 60 percent of initial sales and rebills.
