Do You Know a Vampire?
LOS ANGELES – “For a vampire, a walk on the wild side is merely an excuse to explore past educations in the arts of extreme debauchery,” according to John Stagliano, whose award-winning vampire-themed adult series Voracious just released its second season’s second episode.
How Stagliano, chief executive officer for Evil Angel and the director and producer of the series, knows the intricacies of vampire psychology probably is best left unexplored, but his post-modern theory about vampire seduction seems to be working for him. The series’ second season may be even more popular than the first, he said.
“Fans are hungry for another taste of vampiric lust and debauchery,” he noted.
Episode Two — entitled “Do You Know a Vampire?” — bowed Thursday at EvilAngel.com. The new piece of the puzzle finds rebel vampire Adrianna — a member of the oversexed, misogynistic clan that arose during Season One — appearing in the Sodom and Gomorrah of the west: San Francisco. But where have all the vampires gone? Deviant Kade may be able to help Adrianna find the clan, but first he must atone for substance-abuse sins. Skin Diamond and Lea Lexis take exceptional glee in showing Kade exactly what abuse means.
“Deviant Kade makes the idea of a guy getting fucked seem natural and expected, especially when the rebel vampires Lea Lexis and Skin Diamond are set loose on his skinny ass,” Stagliano said. “I admit I was lost at times [while] editing this scene, but the power of committed porn artists overwhelmed my sense of propriety.”
It should be noted that Stagliano frequently makes this sort of admission about various aspects of the series. Sometimes he loses control of the photography, sometimes the storyline, and sometimes the editing. So far he hasn’t admitted losing control of the cast, but that admission probably is on the way. Of course, the control problem seems to be working for Stagliano, too. To date, the episodes over which he has admitted “losing control” have been among the most brilliant in the series.
