Dixon Mason Named Marketing, Affiliate Manager
YNOT – Dixon Mason has been promoted to marketing and affiliate manager at Oakland, Calif.-based BDSM company Intersec Interactive. According to a prepared announcement, she possesses significant experience in search-engine optimization and new media marketing in the mainstream and adult. In addition, Mason’s experience in adult encompasses roles both behind the scenes and in front of the camera.
“We are thrilled to promote this position from within the company,” said Chief Executive Officer Matt Williams, who also serves as the director for one of the company’s newest websites, SexuallyBroken.com. “Dixon has been with the company for over a year and half, and most of her duties involved supporting the marketing department to begin with. The transition to department head should be absolutely effortless, as Dixon knows our company inside and out.
“We have seen significant growth over the last year, with only an on-and-off-again marketing lead,” Williams added. “With Dixon at the helm full time as marketing and affiliate manager, we expect the same, if not greater, success for Intersec going into the new year.”
Mason studied music business in college. Following graduation, she managed celebrity and nightlife events for major clubs in New York City before working as an associate at a search-engine-marketing firm. Prior to entering the adult industry, she served as a new media marketing and content-management specialist for a sports club.
