Cybersocket Voting Ends Dec. 4
YNOT – Voting for the 12th Annual Cybersocket Web Awards is underway, but fans and industry insiders have only until Dec. 4 to make their preferences known.
Each year, with help from the public, the online gay and lesbian resource Cybersocket recognizes outstanding websites, personalities and companies for their contributions to the LGBT community. Awards are given in “Surfers Choice” and “Industry Choice” categories.
“We feel it is essential to honor these individuals and companies as being technological entrepreneurs, important agents of free expression and cultural change, and innovators in queer online media and entertainment,” an official statement noted.
Industry insiders may vote here. More than 120 companies are nominated in nine categories: Best Affiliate Program, Best Alternative Billing Company, Best Billing Company, Best Content Producer, Best Hosting Company, Best Webmaster Resource, Best White Label, Business Person of the Year and Company of the Year.
Fans may vote here. More than 400 nominees await in 19 categories spanning personalities, movies, websites, shopping destinations and blogs.
Only one vote will be accepted per email address. Duplicates are automatically deleted.
The awards will be presented during a gala ceremony scheduled to take place Jan. 9 at a location yet to be revealed.
