Cybernet Expo’s Corridor Cruisin’ Brings Businesses and People Together
SAN DIEGO, CA — For three hours during the evening of Friday, June 9th, two adjoining Kona Kai meeting rooms were transformed into a veritable marketplace of ideas and services for the adult internet. The evening found web techs, graphic designers, writers, models, porn stars, photographers, sales reps, and business professionals of various other types gathered together for networking and complimentary beverages and savory hot finger foods, courtesy of Epoch, during the second Cybernet Expo Corridor Cruisin’ event.
As is the tradition, in addition to tables with information and attentive, friendly staff, many companies turned on the charm, offering a variety of fun and even useful swag. Smooth and creamy margaritas were mixed and served in branded and re-useable cups at the Naked Hosting booth, with branded shot glasses available to those who wanted to remember the moment. Spongy footballs from Text Bill competed with inflatable beach balls from NetBilling for airspace while attendees scribbled notes with funky, chunky pens from DVD Dollars, pens on a cord from TheBestPorn.com, and stylish ink pens with blue lights, courtesy of SwapperNet, which also provided wanderers with branded sipper bottles suitable for carrying on their travels.
Smoking was on the patio overlooking the bay, which was filled with yachts; and lighters from NetBilling and BlazingBucks kept the smoke rings blowing long after the sun had set, allowing attendees to smoke and joke with porn cuties including Mia Bangs and Leah Luv.
Attendees who expected to walk out empty handed were relieved to see hot only tank tops and t-shirts from SunnyDollars, but also hand bags perfect for carting out convention swag, including fabulously goth t-shirts from Spooky Cash. The booth girls behind the Spooky Cash book vied with the Bondage.com cuties circulating throughout the floor for most alternative looking vendor femmes, with the beautifully inked and colored Spooky Cash ladies lending an enticingly dangerous air to the otherwise civilized room. On the other hand, Bondage.com provided wine and cheese for visitors, which doubtless helped some lose a few inhibitions and may even have helped a few of them expand their definition of “kinky.”
Blue Toon Media’sMadame made the rounds, handing out her increasingly infamous “Webcam calibration stick,” which provided even the most modestly hung web dude with the illusion that he was packing massive man meat in his sensible trousers. The litigious minded could pick up legal tips and cold beverage holders from attorney Eric M. Bernstein, while tanks from PussyCash and IMLive provided yet more garment options for the wardrobe challenged. Those with a serious sense of humor could pick up t-shirts featuring Jack Mardack’s unshorn legs in a pair of stylish red pumps from the SexyAds booth.
The mood was festive and friendly, with Aly Drummand adding to the feeling of energy and excitement by periodically making announcements through a bullhorn. Far more staid and subtle were the good folks from the Free Speech Coalition, Silvercash, NetFlixx, HotMovies.com, Homegrown Cash, and the various other companies that made the three-hour tour incredibly fun and professionally worthwhile.
For Dave from BRSCash, the high point of the evening came when he learned that his card had been picked from the business card raffle box that Dave Cummings had carefully protected at the TrueCash booth – winning him a coveted Xbox 360.
