Cybernet Expo Approaches, Hotel Rooms and Sponsorships Going Fast
SAN DIEGO – The annual Cybernet Expo convention, designed for members of the online adult entertainment professional community, is now less than one month away from kick-off and both hotel rooms and show sponsorships are disappearing fast. The show will be returning to San Diego after positive feedback from last year’s show, but the host hotel will change to the Shelter Pointe Resort.Already rooms at the Shelter Pointe have booked up for June 11th, the night before opening day, but according to a press release issued by Cybernet Expo, rooms are still available for all nights during the show itself, which starts on June 12th.
Discounted room rates will expire on May 20th, meaning anyone planning on staying at the Shelter Pointe will save money by booking their rooms in the next few days.
According to Cybernet Expo staff, show sponsorships are also nearly sold out, indicating solid interest in this year’s show.
“The industry response to Cybernet Expo has been fantastic this year,” said Fay Sharp, owner of Cybernet Expo. “We are right on schedule with the planning and it’s nice to see the huge support and anticipation that this show brings year after year.”
Opportunities to sponsor the show remain for the “Corridor Cruisin’” event, and companies looking for a little extra exposure can also get in on show prize giveaways and attendee bag inserts. The bar tab, however, is already being picked up by Webair, MeatCash and Porn Dollar, and Epoch will provide hospitality services throughout the show.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled with how the daily agenda has really shaped up,” said Jay “LAJ” Kopita, the show’s organizer. “The seminars, unique parties, events and sponsorships all together are truly going to make this show a memorable one for years to come.”
Cybernet Expo will feature a variety of informative seminars offering expert advice on various aspects of the online adult entertainment business. Speakers will include industry professionals and celebrities, who will discuss everything from website security issues to adult content production and internet traffic management. Some of the scheduled speakers include porn stars Brittany Andrews and Dave Cummings, controversial filmmaker Rob Black, and former porn legend Bill Margold.
In the evenings Cybernet Expo will feature sponsored parties, as it has in past years, but the lineup of parties has been enhanced. Featured events will include a “White Trash Bash” kegger party, a tournament-style poker competition, and a frat-style “Toga Party,” and the return of the “Player’s Ball” party. The “Corridor Cruisin’” event will also return, providing attendees an opportunity to meet staff from featured industry companies and pick up a number of free item giveaways.
“In the past Cybernet Expo has been known mostly as a business and networking show rather than a “party” event. This year, in addition to all of the great seminars and networking opportunities, some fantastic sponsors have stepped forward with some amazing and unique party themes. We’re featuring a “White Trash Bash” parking lot tailgate party, a Vegas tournament style Texas Hold ‘Em poker party, a college fraternity style “Toga” party, as well as a return of the Player’s Ball. This year’s Cybernet Expo has without doubt raised the bar for parties at a mid-sized show.”
