Customized Video Banners Help Target Traffic
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – If used wisely, video advertising banners can be an immediate attention-grabber. The problem is, the definition of “wisely” varies by publisher. What works with one website’s traffic may turn off another’s.
Most adult webmasters know their traffic better than any affiliate program ever could. Smart webmasters also realize that showing their traffic content and promotional offers that matter to the traffic — not an advertiser’s idea of what looks good or will sell — is the best way to convert window shoppers into buyers.
That’s why gay affiliate program GunzBlazing has launched a new video banner creation tool that allows affiliates customize video banners to suit the interests of the surfers they know best.
“Our new video banner tool is the latest in a long line of simple, easy-to-use promotional tools that we have developed to assist our affiliate partners to target traffic and maximize sales,” said GunzBlazing President Robyn Way. “It sets us apart from other programs and is in direct response to the expressed needs of our affiliates.
“The new video banner tool is cutting-edge stuff and lets webmasters choose their favorite sales text and their favorite videos and combine them in their very own video banners,” he added.
Way said GunzBlazing techs have loaded a selection of banner-ready videos into a database from which affiliates may select materials to create Flash banners in standard dimensions of 300 x 250 pixels and 160 x 600 pixels. Easy-to-use selection widgets walk affiliates through the process step by step, he noted.
“It’s easier than ever to generate videos that will catch even the most jaded surfer’s eye,” Way said. “We have a bunch of ‘shell’ Flash banners that will load the MP4 video files. When the webmaster chooses a video from the list, [the software] generates a code that tells the banner to load that particular video file. It’s a simple process of selecting the site you want to promote, choosing the normal modifiers like [pay-per-sale or revenue share], choosing the video from a list with preview thumbnail and then choosing the tagline you want to use for sales text and pressing ‘submit.’ The webmaster then puts the [resulting] code on his site.”
Affiliates may customize banners for any of GunzBlazing’s gay websites, including two new flagships — for Cazzo and Wurst Film — that are expected to launch this fall.
GunzBlazing pays $25 to $40 per sign-up or as much as 60-percent recurring revenue share.
