CATSKILLS, NY – When even the director and the stars refer to an October film as “creepy,” viewers can feel reasonably secure they’ll receive a Halloween treat.

In fact, the folks behind Intersec Interactive’s new title Compromises believe their latest project turned out so creepy, the month of ghosts, goblins and things that go bump in the night makes the perfect backdrop for the film’s debut.

Directed by Intersec founder PD, Compromises stars Cherie DeVille as a naïve young woman whose dreams of success as a glamour model go horribly awry at the hands of the sort of sadistic auteur no BDSM participant wants to encounter. To increase the eerie atmosphere, PD chose to shoot the feature at an isolated farmhouse in upstate New York.

“PD is really great at playing the creep,” said Intersec Chief Executive Officer Matt Williams. “He is the original bondage legend, and it shows in everything he does. He pays immaculate attention to detail, which makes his works stand out from other companies.”

PD characterized the film as a psych-thriller featuring “predicament bondage and domination.” He praised the work of both supporting player Lavender Rayne and the movie’s star.

“Cherie [DeVille]’s incredible acting is what really puts this feature over the top,” PD said. “She really committed to the role.”

Williams called the feature “cinematic.”

“We are really trying to get back to the artistic and theatrical nature of our productions with this feature,” he said.

Compromises will be released as an online serial at InfernalRestraints.com. The first episode is available now; the second will debut Oct. 11. A trailer is here.
