Content Creator Marcela Alonso Celebrates the Launch of Latina Productions
Marcela Alonso, the Latina content creator, influencer and host of podcasts Get Schooled and Sunday Funday has announced a celebratory launch of her production company – Latina Productions – at New York City’s Key Bar in the East Village on Tuesday, July 18 at 7pm.
“Latina Productions started basically as a place to put all of my podcasts and future filming endeavors under the company,” says Marcela. “I named it Latina Productions to remind people who own it. On average, Latinas in the U.S. are paid 51% less than white men and 31% less than white women. I wanted to open a business that I could employ my daughters in the future and give attention to other Latinx in the community. With everything in the media being black and white and for years being overlooked I had no choice but to make my own opportunities.”
There is no entry fee for the event and there will be free Rolo shots, empanadas and three dollars off all well drinks.
DJ Crystal Clear will be spinning music and bringing out the flavor and the funk.
Key Bar is located at 432 E 13th St, New York, NY 10009.
