Company Offers ‘Anonymous Middleman’ Service for Adult
YNOT – A team of professionals claiming backgrounds in law, computer engineering, entrepreneurship and business have launched a new service that offers to stand between adult-entertainment consumers and violations of their privacy.
According to a launch announcement, “In an age of social media, data mining, and identity theft, your privacy is becoming much harder to safeguard. Enymity is dedicated to providing a way for consumers to buy products and services completely anonymously in a time when your information is for sale without your knowledge.”
Enymity, based in Glen Allen, Va., offers to act as a buffer, making purchases on behalf of individuals and companies without revealing the purchaser’s identity. Although the process requires no special currency, it is more than a bit cloak-and-dagger; however, a spokesperson swears the clandestine maneuvering results in a transaction that is legal, secure and private. No cog in the wheel can name any other cog. Clients reportedly already use the service to purchase goods and services from religious, spy, luxury, investment and survivalist websites.
“For those marketing themselves in the adult industry, this is a good way for you to bring your products to your fans,” the spokesperson said. “Let them know they can enjoy every kind of content you provide in the most safe and secure environment.”
Enymity may be employed to purchase monthly memberships and cloak identities for product purchases. In addition, Enymity offers “special services” like hiring private detectives and engaging legal services. Fees start at $3 per transaction.
“More frequently than ever hackers are getting information that was intended for private use like credit card numbers, passwords, bank statements and demographic data that tells much more than we want to make public,” the company’s official launch statement noted. “Employers are using this data to check up on their employees and new-hires. Supermarkets track what we buy, employers track us on social media, everywhere you turn you are being asked what demographic you fit into.
“Enymity will fight for our clients’ lawful right to privacy against any attempts by any and all businesses, entities and persons who try to obtain information … [but] Enymity will not be used to launder money or purchase such things as child pornography, illegal weapons or any component of an illegal object or service. Though we support our client’s right to be and do as they please, we take great offense and strong action against any and all criminal activity.”
The company actively seeks active partnerships within the adult entertainment industry. More information about that is here.
