Colby Melvin, AdamMale and ‘That Dodgeball Video’
HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. – AdamMale, the gay division of Adam & Eve, has named activist and model Colby Melvin its brand ambassador.
“I’m excited about working with AdamMale,” Melvin said. “Much of my advocacy work is centered around empowering gay men to own their sexuality unapologetically. Whether you’re simply exploring or a bit more experienced, AdamMale has fun products that will satisfy anyone’s curiosity.”
He added that over the past decade, more than 40 percent of AdamMale’s profits have been donated to charity programs, including HIV/AIDS organizations.
“Colby Melvin is the perfect fit,” for AdamMale, said Lee Grutman, media strategist for the company. “He’s sexy, smart, outgoing and has a great sense of humor.
“Colby is a tireless advocate committed to helping gay men feel comfortable with their sexuality and does an incredible job reaffirming that sex is a natural and wonderful thing,” Grutman continued. “Colby shares AdamMale’s commitment to giving back by donating his time and talent to charitable organizations. We could not have asked for a better brand ambassador.”
To celebrate the partnership, AdamMale released a parody video, “Dodgeball,” which stars Melvin, drag performers Jackie Beat and William Belli, and features Liam Riley, Jack Merridew, Brandon Wilde, Nickoles Alexander Perez, Austin Wallis and Timothy Willy. Directed by Brad Hammer, the video depicts two teams of hot guys engaged in a “dodging” match that has very little do with balls and everything to do with fun. Beat and Belli shine as two aggressive coaches, and Melvin is at his wits’ end — and his comedy best — as the put-upon referee.
