CMS Update Addresses OS Compatibility Issues
LOS ANGELES – In response to video playback limitations introduced by the launch of Apple’s iOS 8, content-management software developer Elevated X has released a new mechanism that enables desktop and mobile users to skirt the issues.
Android users also benefit from the update, which works around Android’s dislike for website areas secured with Simple HTTP authentication.
In both cases, the fix allows website owners to avoid installing a separate user-management or site-security script.
“As a leading adult industry CMS solution we don’t think our customers should need a separate paid solution just for their pay site visitors to be able to watch movies on mobile devices,” said Elevated X Chief Executive Officer AJ Hall. “We believe the Elevated X Protect solution is a winning solution that will satisfy the needs of most of our users.”
In addition to addressing operating system-related issues, Elevated X Protect also offers:
- Captcha support to prevent hackers and bots from sneaking into a site with stolen credentials.
- Anti-slurp protection, which allows webmasters to fend off automated content ripping.
- Rate limiting to frustrate password guessers.
Elevated X Protect supports regular .htpasswd-style files and connections to MySQL databases and will work with all popular third-party billers and backend affiliate software packages, according to Hall.
The new feature is available free to all Elevated X Pro users.
